A ROLE FOR FUTURE
Teachers play an important
role in training children, teenagers and sometimes even people of an early age.
Many people think that being a teacher is an easy task. Moreover, our society
thinks that any person can become a teacher. But, for sure not anyone is
capable of being a good teacher. Some qualities that are crucial for being a
good teacher are knowledge, respect and love for the children and to their
profession, understanding the needs of children.
Firstly, knowledge is a
must for a good teacher. The teacher must have the necessary knowledge to teach
his/her subject. However, there are cases in which the students think that
their teacher is incapable of answering their questions. Consequently, a good
teacher must have enough knowledge and should be prepared to satisfy the
curiosity of his/her students in any case. In addition, a good teacher must
have a general knowledge on culture, society, politics, history, psychology
etc. to clarify the doubts of his/her students. Obviously, teaching his/her
students independently, creatively and effectively is what a good teacher must
do.
Secondly, a good teacher
should love his/her students. Not all the students have the same personality
they differ. Students can be stubborn, aggressive, naughty, misbehaving etc.
But, a teacher mustn’t differ in his/her students too. A good teacher should
show the equal love to all his/her students and should never reflect his/her
dislike to the student he /she should know the ways to deal with any kind of
situation. A good teacher should have the love of his/her profession as well,
the love that makes him/her a teacher in which he/she to enjoy while teaching
and make sure that the students are enjoying while learning.
Thirdly, the last but not
the least, a good teacher should pay an adequate attention on students and on
their needs. A good teacher must be aware of his/her student’s disturbance and
help the student by some advice when they are in need or help them distinguish
the right from the wrong. Obviously, teaching his/her students not only the
chapters and the lessons at schedule but also the things that would be needed
in real life.
Consequently, teachers
create the leaders of future. I mean his/her students will be doctor,
president, lawyer, etc. If you don’t respect your profession, you cannot be the
role model of students and your students cannot be role model of anyone and
even their selves. In the hands of teachers there is a future.
