                Remembering the first of the school is not the awesome but also sarcastic. I was very exhausted like every other student.  It’s beginning of the education life after the six years played at home and rooming in the streets. During five years, I had a teacher in elementary school. Everything was alright for the first three years; my teacher was trying to teach as writing and reading. Also we were painting, playing hide and seek, etc. But soon, my forth class was beginning of my worst learning experiences.

            Firstly, my first teacher was my teacher at elementary school. In basics, he taught us reading and writing. He was good at this topic. Until I came to fourth grade, our courses were English, music, science of sociality, math and even physical exercises. I expected my teacher to be good enough at all these courses but he was not like I expected. His knowledge about English was the same as the children in third grades. He was teaching us English while reading from the books. He had no knowledge about music; I was able to play a block flute for the last two years of my elementary school. If you have no knowledge of what you are teaching and you are reading them from the books, what can you expect from the students?

            Secondly, while my teacher was trying to teach a lesson, if he couldn’t manage to students, he could easily lose his temper.  For instance; I had a friend who was taking math course whose teacher, also mine teacher, asked him to multiply the number seven and not even the teacher knew the answer obviously the student doesn’t know as well. So the teacher hit the student with the scale. My friend fell in to subclass because he didn’t know math maybe he could be good at music. How fair, to teach something with violence.

            Now I am studying in ELT department in university. I think it is a respond to my elementary teacher. Perhaps, because he couldn’t be a good English teacher I wanted to prove that I could be better than him. I am not here because of him. I am here for the future generation and maybe for my siblings. I don’t want them to be uneducated like me. Always, you should be afraid of people who insist that they know everything. In fact, there is mirror front of them.

Make summer holiday useful for kids.

                Make summer holiday useful for kids. 

Summer holidays probably are the best vacation for kids. All the children enjoy the summer holidays and dream about it during the academic year. The holydays are usually for 3 months and mostly children and adults enjoy only 1 month, this is because children gets bored at the house and doing the same things, there aren’t much activity preformed at home or playing outside with the other kids. Staying at home during the vacations can also lead the children to forget the lessons learnt at the academic year. The question is should the kids be send to summer camps?  In my opinion to avoid all this parents should send their kids to the fun and learning camps( summer camps ) this will help them to built a strong body ,meet new friends improve in swimming, camping and knowing how to live alone and not depend on anyone else.

Staying at home during the vacations at first may be enjoyable because after a very tiring academic year children at last can rest and enjoy their time waking up late not doing assignments but as the time passes without doing anything children soon gets bored. When children gets bored at home they start acting aggressive become naughtier then ever and this can also affect the parents they can’t concentrate at their work or spend time with each, they will be behind children all the time cleaning their mess. While doing nothing in the house children soon will also forget everything they’ve learnt in the school. In the house children do nothing by themselves they depend on their parents but if their send to the summer camps they will get the chance to do things by themselves and they won’t forget anything that they’ve learn at school because they will always be revising it at the camps.

These summer camps are not only for the children to depend on themselves and not to forget want they’ve learnt at school but it also adds new things to children life such as; meeting new people of their age, getting chance to involve in new activities instead of just playing outside with the other children. They will learn swimming, working in teams, learning how to camp and deal with it, having a good control in themselves without their parents being around them, knowing what to eat while camping and managing their appetite. Out of all these the children that go to these summer camps have more valuable time then those kids that stay at home doing nothing. These camps also help kids to gain self-confidence.

As a conclusion, in my opinion every parent should send their children to these summer camps to bring up healthier, more wise and self confident children. As these camps soon will become a habit in children lifestyle they will always have sports and self control in their life. If the children just sit at the home doing nothing during the holidays they won’t gain anything instead of that they will lose a lot, so it’s better to make summer holidays useful with summer camps.

Language, especially English has become a major factor to success in many ways in the world such as in the business sector and in education period. As our ancestors says ` one language is a one person, two language is two person`. So if a language has to be learnt, why not learn in the better place? English is an important international language. Is Learning English at the countries where English is used as a target language helpful or the language must be learnt at the English speaking countries?

Learning English in English speaking countries have uncountable advantages. For example working in many countries and being able to travel to many different places without studying other languages. Not only having the chance to have daily communicative contact with English speakers but also providing to live within. The English speaking countries are easily accessible to students from the world.  The English speaking countries has a great reputation for providing a quality education and training the students to its own citizens culture. Spending a lot of time learning English in English speaking countries obviously gets the most chance to make friends with the native English speakers; this kind of close interactions and experiences with native speakers provides a good chance to have their accent. Learning the spoken language is not likely to be heard without a contact with any native speaker. Studying English at English speaking countries mostly frustrates and creates more time for learning English. Learning English in English speaking countries can often have very effective results such as good pronunciation, rich vocabulary and perfect listening.

However, the results of learning English in English speaking countries are quite easy while learning in non English speaking countries can be somewhat different and very difficult. Learning English in non English speaking country sometimes is not possible. The English thought in the classroom is not enough and is not encouraging because the class there is no need to speak in English. The lessons thought in the classroom are not effective because students forget all about learning English until they step into the classroom again in the next week. The lessons that are thought in the classroom only occupy academic English, for example, grammar, vocabulary and writing. The students are not aware of spoken language and aren’t good at speaking at all. Learning English at non English speaking countries aren’t that useful.         

Consequently, English is an important international language. Even the agreement between two countries is in English. People from all over the world come to English speaking countries to study English to get a better result. Studying English at non English speaking countries isn’t enough and won’t get the learner any further but just makes it hard for the student to learn and improve the language and to be successful in their career in future.

FOOLING MACHINE

The television has become such an important part of homes in the modern world that it is hard to imagine life without television. There is no doubt that television has changed the world and how we view it. Yes. The television is an important item for both children and adults like bread or water. The machine that we call television is the most dangerous invention. It affects the behavior of children mostly and sometimes even adults, It affects both the children and adults health, it leads to waste of tıme and both of these factors includes physical and psychological problems.

Firstly, Television has a bad effect on both children and adults but mostly children are affected by the programs at TVs. Instead of watching geographical and historical documentaries, they watch shows that include violence, sex or rest of them. Children don’t learn the proper language because mostly informal language is used. Not only children but also the adults are affected by these programs. About 40% of the crimes are committed by the adults that are influenced by these TV shows that provide violence.  

Secondly, TV is not only a machine that occupies the best places at our house but it is clearly are undefeated enemy which steel the most precious time from our life. This machine enables us to concentrate at anything that we are working on. TV is especially distracted children because they don’t do their homework at time. They don’t properly eat their meals. They don’t also get enough sleep but  the most important thing is because of fooling machine there is no communication at most family’s house and children are wasting a lot of time watching nonsense shows. They forget to go out and play. Now, 90% of the generation is stuck at their homes sitting in front of the TV.

Thirdly, TV also plays harmful role in human life. Most of the world population is affected by the dangerous blue rays which damages the brain functions, cause cancer and damages the eye sight. This ray also damages the eye sight such as causıng myopia; shortsıghted and nearsıghted and drıes the eyes. While wasting a lot of time in front of the TV without knowing how much we eat, it can cause obesity and also it leads other diseases such as hyper tension. While watching TV we get addicted to it and get a less sleep or sometimes don’t even sleep which can cause insomnia.    

In conclusion, as I mentioned above; this machine that we call television is the most dangerous invention and undisputed the enemy of human kind. Instead of providing the important information such as geographical and historical documentaries it brain washes the people by fake stories and one-sided news.  If this machine could be used in a more effective way such as collecting information from it and not spending a lot of time sitting in front of it without effectıng our health and a bad way then it could probably not be harmful.
