DRAMA
Let’s image of a course that involves
all the other basic courses such as listening, writing, reading and speaking.
It’s both enjoyable and useful. Think that lecturers want students to write
their own scenarios and display them on the stage. We can call the new course
as a drama or display theatrical arts. How can it be useful or how does it
create beneficial impact on students? Most probably there are three ways of
this to be done. Here, they are first step for the writers, the second step for
speakers and last step for listeners.
When we look at the first step of
course, it is mostly about writers. They are the one to be writing the
scenario. This does not only help them to improve their writing skills but will
also make them creative. While writing they will also learn a lot of vocabulary
and will learn how to produce proper sentences. These sentences are not simple
and easy; students will use their senses so scenario will be full of emotions
such as love, sadness, hatred etc. And also scenario writers will have a good
memory and improve their memorizing skills.
Secondly, when writers write their
scenario, they will need people to perform their play. These people (students),
who will participate in this play, will also improve their speaking skills. These participants who will perform this play
will have self confidence. They will enjoy speaking while speaking they can use
the words that doest use in daily life which will also help them to have a rich
vocabulary. And the most important part for the speaker is pronunciation and
toning. If you want to explain yourself in a character’s shoe, you have to
pronounce words correctly. You have to relate the message correctly to the
audience.
Thirdly, when we come to last step,
it occupies the audience, listeners. With the last step, students will improve
their listening skills. They can capture the new words that they are not used
to and they would be interested to know the meaning. Listening and this course
can also be beneficial in daily life. If you listen correctly, you can get
every message right, learn new vocabulary, have more idea about writing skills
and can be more creative. While listening you can imagine of an image formed in
your mind.
Consequently, the aim is to improve
students some skills such as writing, pronunciation and make the students
escape from the daily boring routine and to have their interest at their
courses in more enjoyable way. All these steps are suitable for this aim.
