Tips For Teachers to Exam the Students


1 Could you please comment on whether CLIL can be implemented in TEYL classes
Yes, in my opinion CLIL can be implemented in TEYL classes but teacher must have a huge range of information about the subject and should be able to speak the target language fluently and clearly. The teacher must be expert of the subject and the language in order to do this. this can be a lot beneficial to the students as CLIL will improve the target language of the student and in this way, they will also have information about the subject in order to maintain this the teacher should be highly planned and organized. 22 MART 2013

2 Could you please discuss what points Joan Kang Shin considers important in TEYL classrooms
Teaching styles for primary students, songs-chants-poems,storytelling and classroom interaction is being considered important by Joan Kang Shin. According to me, long time observation brought some opportunities about how to approach students while teach something new. 21 Mart 2013
3 Please discuss why we should use rhymes, chants, games, songs, etc in TEYL classrooms
According to me rhymes and songs lead student to learn uncoincous learning. they don't realize but they learn vocabulary, structes and etc. Chants and games present practise with English for students. if we want break down the taboos, i mean that generally GTM is used in Turkey, we should use such things that contribute to students mind. these activeties are for every student in the class even for a silent pupil. So they express themselves freely and they dont hesitate to make mistane. 21 MART 2013
4 Watching the videos of Shaping the Way We teach English, Module 11-12, discuss the points which mostly take your interest and Why?
Using TPR by teacher and the role of the students in this process is very impressive. with the help of the video we watched, we can observe that English knowledge of children is good if we compare with our aproach. also we can obverse unconscious learning, student's practice with target language and express themselves with poems,songs in target language. they work at their own pace and they have access to variety materials. Creativeness by students is prominent fact in this video. 21 MART 2013
5 Regarding the latest video on drama examples, what other scenarios could be used in Young Language Learner Classrooms
The drama examples we watched in the class were good. When we talk about the drama, we all know that it’s dealing with making roles. We generally consider that actors in real theater are very confident and they act like different person. I can see in the drama videos that students as an amateur, they gained their confident. According to me, using drama in every respect is helpful and gained confidence is beyond everything.
